This event clearly belongs to those that lift you up as soon as you set foot on it 😍. The scenery? Just i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e ✨: imagine a mix of rolling hills, villages competing to be the most photogenic (spoiler: they all win 📸), gorges where the river winds gently 💧, and winding roads that make you want to push the pedals to see what’s around the next bend 🌀. Weather-wise, April in the Gard is quite nice ☀️: mild temperatures, sunshine that usually cooperates (usually 😎), and that famous mistral that can blow from time to time 💨. In short, pack a light windbreaker and sunglasses, you never know! But honestly, riding under the sun with cicadas in the background 🦗 is somehow a different thing from a cyclist under heavy rain 🌧️.

What makes this cyclosportive truly unique is the richness of its route 🔥. The "Granfondo" of 155 km, it’s straight-up an epic you’d find in Jules Verne ⚔️ : about 2 300 mD+ 📈 (yes, you read that right), 5 beautiful climbs that will push your last reserves ⛽️ and sequences that give the route a crazy rhythm. The road starts from Cornillon smoothly (enjoy it, it doesn’t last 😅) before charging toward the Mont Bouquet, this big limestone chunk that watches the valley like a wise old sage 🗻. The ascent? Demanding, sometimes downright spicy 🌶️, but the summit view ⛰️ is worth all the grimaces, promise! The route then dives toward the Gorges de la Cèze, an almost unreal place with its cliffs 🏞️, and the famous Cascades du Sautadet cascading far away 🌊. You’ll also roll past the Aven d’Orgnac, a Grand Site de France (that’s something!) : here, the scenery gets even wilder 🦅. It’s a rolling, pleasant stretch where legs gradually regain rhythm before tackling the winding sections of the Gorges de l'Ardèche, true nature roller coasters 🎢. Tunnels carved in rock, switchbacks one after another, panoramas… Frankly, it’s a finale worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster 🍿 !

The "Mediofondo" of 115 km, it’s the smart choice if you love hilly routes without going overboard 🚴‍♂️. With about 1 590 mD+ and 4 well-paced ascents, it offers a super smooth course ✨, dotted with crossings of typical villages where you want to stop at every terrace ☕, stretches in nature 🌿, and viewpoints that’ll drop you. It’s the kind of route you enjoy from start to finish, a real playground for cyclists who love to push themselves... but with joy and good vibes 😄! Finally, the "Piccolofondo" (53 km) that really let everyone participate 🙌: chrono version ⏱️ if you’re a natural competitor, non-timed if you just want to ride easy 🚴‍♀️, enjoy the scenery without stressing, or share a fun moment with family or friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

So, did you survive the race? Your legs are wobbling like a custard 🥶, your heart’s racing 🫀, and your T-shirt could probably stand up on its own 👕... But wait! Before you head straight home for a sofa marathon 📺 (the only acceptable kind of marathon after a real race 😅), let us show you the little wonders surrounding Cornillon! After burning 10 times your weight in calories, it’s time to fill up with the delights of the South! The region is full of small spots where you can sample the brandade from Nîmes, the pélardons (little goat cheeses), the tapenade, and of course the must-try aioli. Don’t forget wines from the Côtes du Rhône 🍷to toast your achievement (but always in moderation!). Bonus: local olive oil is perfect for massaging sore calves! 🫒 After the revelry, go explore the region! Nearby you have Bagnols-sur-Cèze with its museums, the Pont du Gard (THE Roman wonder to absolutely see 🌁), Uzès and its lanes, not forgetting Avignon and its famous palace of the Popes a few kilometers away! Perfect for a post-ride stroll where the only thing rising is your cultural level, not your heart rate! 📸 (Well... there are a few climbs in those perched villages, not gonna lie 😅).
