« Yes ! A new race GravelMan Series, here we are Anjou-é » 🤪
Historically, the Anjou is a historic region whose capital is Angers 📍. And this September is your moment 📆. So head there to Beaulieu-sur-Layon, in the Maine-et-Loire, heart of Pays de la Loire 😍. So, hop on your gravel or road bike 🚴, fasten your helmet and take a deep breath: 60, 120, 200, 350 or 500 km await you. No matter your level, if you love teamwork, pushing yourself, and adventures, the GravelMan Series Anjou is for you 🫵.
This rendezvous is part of the famous GravelMan Series, those cycling adventures you’ll find across France 🇫🇷 and the world 🌍: Marrakech, Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, St-Malo, Anjou… The organizers have imagined ten formats through the vineyards, suitable for all profiles 💪. The beginner who wants to try gravel without selling a kneecap will find happiness, just like the endurance addict ready to push for 500 miles and 5 000 mD+ (yes indeed, you read that right 🥵). The 350 km with 3 500 mD+ is meant to be accessible yet demanding 🫡. For a sturdy but reasonable challenge, the 200 km and its 3 000 mD+ will be perfect 🤩. The last two formats are a 120 km and a 60 km, letting you dip your toe in without leaving an organ behind 🫁. As always, each format exists in a version Gravel (60% trails, 40% road) or Road(nearly 100% tarmac). It’s up to you to choose! ↔️ We hope you’ve got the spirit of an adventurer, because this race requires you to be prepared for anything 🫣. Aid stations are spaced several hours apart, so you must be able to handle a flat tire, a nutrition hiccup, or a slipping chain on your own 🔗. After finishing a GravelMan, cycling will have no secrets for you, we guarantee it 🤫.
And once the finish line is behind you, what next? Well, enjoy Angers, the first green city in France 🌱. This city is very walkable🚶. Start by visiting the Angers château and its 17 towers, with its Apocalypse Tapestry 🪡. Don’t miss the Place du Ralliement, the Grand Théâtre
Alors, prêt à dérailler pédaler ? 👀
