Heatwave alert for your calves: the GravelMan Series is rolling into the Riviera in November! ☀️

If you think the Côte d'Azur is all about sipping a cocktail on the Croisette 🍹, get ready for a serious reality check. For this 2026 edition starting from Théoule-sur-Mer, in the Alpes-Maritimes, we’re taking you on a fully self-supported adventure where your sweat might shine brighter than the glitter. On the menu: the series’ usual formats so everyone finds their joy (or their pain): the Gravel for dust lovers and the Road for asphalt addicts 🚴.

On the numbers side, we don't mess around with distances of 60 km, 120 km, 200 km, 350 km and for the boldest a queen distance of 500 km. Time to see if your cardio is as solid as the region’s reputation 🤪. The terrain profile? It's a bit like trying to climb the stairs of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, but for two days and with 800 mD+ minimum in the legs (for the 500 km, you’ll get 10 000 mD+, that’s a lot less fun 😬). You’ll leave the coast and dive into the Provencal hinterland, where the terrain rises sharply and wild 🪻. It’s a backdrop worthy of a Hitchcock film, between the Hitchcock, between the sea and the mountains, where every turn offers a view to take your breath away (if the elevation hasn’t already) 😮‍💨. We're far from the “sunny idleness” cliché: here the terrain is challenging, rocky and shows no mercy to your legs 🦵.

The DNA of the GravelMan Series is pure freedom 🍃. No barricades every 10 meters and no all-you-can-eat buffet on the course. You’ll be alone with your GPS trail and your doubts, in chic survival mode 🤓. The vibe is electric at the start and introspective once you’re in the mountains ⛰️. You might share part of the path with other adventurers, but it’s facing yourself that you’ll earn your status as a "finisher" 🥇. It’s a chance to discover secret roads even locals avoid on Sunday afternoons 👀.

And since we know you don’t ride on mineral water alone, the area is a gem for post-race recovery. After crossing the line, we suggest getting lost in the Suquet neighborhood at Cannes for a dose of history 🏛️, or push on to the Gorges du Loup for a refresh 💦. And of course, go chase the viewpoints at Théoule-sur-Mer 🌅. In terms of local fuel, go for a hot Socca while standing on the Marché Forville or a Pissaladière that smells of caramelized onion. It’s rich, it’s delicious, and it’s exactly what you need to plug the gap in your stomach after so many kilometers 🍕.
