No official relation to Rocket Man by Elton John…but we’ll tell you this: the GravelMan Series is just as addictive as its chorus 🕺. In May, when days grow longer and your legs itch with anticipation, head to the Monts du Lyonnais for a cyclo-adventure of foooolie 🤪. You’ll ride into Beaujolais, that rolling playground north of Lyon, where vineyards, ridges, and trails will give you a sublime backdrop 😍. So, hop on your gravel or road bike 🚴, buckle your helmet and take a deep breath: 60, 120, 200, 350 or 500 km await you. No matter your level, if you value mutual aid, pushing yourself, and adventures, GravelMan Lyon is for you 🫵.

This event is part of the famous GravelMan Series, these cycling adventures found all around France 🇫🇷 and the world 🌍: Marrakech, Paris, Bordeaux, Salagou, St-Malo, Anjou… The organization has designed ten formats suited to every profile 💪. A beginner who wants to try gravel without giving up a knee will find happiness, as will endurance enthusiasts ready to tackle 500 kilometers and 5 000 mD+ (yes, you read that right 🥵). The 350 km with 3 500 mD+ is designed to be accessible yet demanding 🫡. For a sturdy but reasonable challenge, the 200 km and its 3 000 mD+ will be perfect 🤩. The two last formats are a 120 km and a 60 km, letting you enter the game without leaving an organ 🫁. As always, each format exists in Gravel version (60% trails, 40% road) or Road (nearly 100% pavement). Then it’s up to you to choose! ↔️ We hope you’ve got the spirit of an adventurer, because this race requires being prepared for anything 🫣. Aid stations are hours apart, so you’ll need to know how to manage a flat tire on your own, nutrition issues, or a chain that slips. After finishing a GravelMan, cycling will have no secrets for you, we guarantee 🤫.

And once the finish line is behind you, what then? Well, enjoy Lyon, of course. The Gastronomy Capital isn’t just about delicious meals 😋: it showcases history and culture worth a visit 👀. Start by strolling through the Old Lyon and get lost in the traboules—secret passages once used by the Canuts, the famous Lyon silk weavers 🪡. If your legs protest at the idea of continuing to walk ❌, opt for a cultural pause: Confluence Museum, Gadagne Museum, Miniature and Cinema Museum…You’ve got plenty to do! 🎬

And because you never leave Lyon with an empty belly, treat yourself to a good old mâchon. Originally, this hearty meal was devoured at dawn by the Canuts after a night of work… today, it’s the perfect reward after a challenge that left your legs and brain spinning 🥴.
