We have a new challenge for you that might strike a chord with you 😎. In January, a unique cycling concept 🚴, part of the famous GravelMan Series, starts again in Île-de-France. Paris East, the event’s cradle region, has wonders of every kind in store and we guarantee you won’t be disappointed by the travel! ✨

At the start of winter, head to the City of Light to face a new challenge ⚔️. If you’re tired of classic races and everyday competitions, the GravelMan Series Paris Est will make your heart flutter 💓. Between forest paths, rocky trails and quiet paved roads, you’ll see all the colors 🌳. The concept is simple: once you choose your distance and your bib is paid, you’ll receive the route with the start and finish locations as well as the mandatory equipment for your journey 📋. And no circling in the Parisian capital the routes will wind through the entire region, to feast your eyes 👀. On average, about 60-70% gravel sections, with 30-40% tarmac. Green and natural trails will be your daily scenery for the whole weekend 📅. And if you don’t want to part with your beloved pavement: that’s also possible. Each distance of 60, 120, 200, 350 and 500 km is also available in a road version, with a similar elevation gain 📈. So you have no valid excuse not to line up at the start ❌.

More specifically, you can choose between 5 distances, depending on your profile or ambitions 👑. The first route spans 60 km and is the most accessible option of all the proposals. If it’s your first race cyclosportive, whether on gravel or on asphalt mode pavement, it’s a very good first challenge 🏆: not too short, not too long, and you get to go home for dinner 🤤. For the next steps, starting from 120 km, it’s a different ball game 👕. Limited to 18 hours maximum of effort, you’ll have to push hard to finish before nightfall 🌙. In doubt, we recommend you bring a front light and some lights, so you don’t end the race orienting yourself by the stars ⭐️. For athletes seeking a course both rolling and challenging, the challenge of 200 km is ideal: with 1 800 mD+ and 200 kilometers, you can be sure your thighs will be burning🦵. The final routes of 350 km and 500 km are for truly seasoned athletes 🎽. Don’t embark on such distances without training. We’re talking about 2 to 3 days of non-stop effort on average 🤯. You’ll be glad to finally sink into a cozy couch once you cross the finish line, and to end the discomfort of bike saddles 🛋️. But hey, that’s part of the thrill of the sport too, right? 😬

After a good night’s sleep (or two if needed ✅), you can park your two wheels and switch to two feet 👣. The area is filled with urban and natural wonders. Regarding the Paris capital 🏙️, we won’t list every monument to see: that would be way too long and would take you weeks to discover 😮‍💨. However, we can suggest a few nice spots nearby. If you love History with a capital H 📚, the magnificent Château de Versailles will immerse you in the scenery of the 17th and 18th century, when Le Roi Soleil ruled France with an iron fist. For nature and the environment, the Forêt de Fontainebleau is perfect for a family or friends picnic 🧺. About an hour and a bit by car from Paris
