Get ready for a gravel adventure through red lands and volcanic hills in Hérault, with Lake Salagou as a turquoise backdrop. The GravelMan Series Salagou offers 5 routes on road or gravel, ranging from 60 km to 500 km with up to 6 500 mD+, to be completed over two days autonomously around Castelnau-de-Guers. Reserve your April weekend and come test speed, technique, and endurance on landscapes that blend desert, ponds, and the Mediterranean.

Hop on your two wheels, the roads and trails of Hérault are yours! 😉To become the hero of the GravelMan Series Salagou, you’ll need to reserve your second weekend in April 📆. Yes, your entire weekend, you’ll quickly understand why 🤫. But first, we’ll whet your appetite by setting the scene: red soils, volcanic hills 🌋, sunshine and perfect temperatures 🌞, the sea and lakes galore, and above all lots of kilometers and elevation gain 😝. The reward will be all the sweeter: the Lac de Salagou and its turquoise-blue reflections 😎, a true oasis in the middle of Mars 🔴.
GravelMan Series kicks off a wild adventure where speed, technique and contemplation will be part of the ride... But how many kilometers? 5 stages are on offer, to be ridden on road or gravel (man) : 60 km and 1 000 mD+, 120 km and 2 000 mD+, 200 km and 2 500 mD+, 350 km and 4 500 mD+ and finally the big boss of the weekend of 500 km and 6 500 mD+. Now you’re starting to understand why you were told to book two days 😅. The biggest events will take far more than 24 hours! So you’ll need to carefully plan your expedition because you’ll be self-supported: just you and your bike 🚲. During your journey, whether short or long, full of rocks 🪨 or paved asphalt, you’ll cross desert plateaus 🏜️, climb the slopes of the Guilhaumard plateau and dive into valleys opening onto the Cevennes to the north and the Mediterranean to the south 🤩. The meetup point will be the same for everyone: the Étang de Thau, perfect for racing with flamingos at the start 🤪.
Now that you’ve mastered the art of gravel (man) 🤓, why not use your legs (a little sore 🦵) to explore the other activities? 🔍 Before you head back from the Étang de Thau, swing by the ravi-thau! 🍽️ And not just any, we’re talking about the famous oyster of the Étang de Thau characterized by its nutty note, it will recharge your salt balance! 🧂 Once recharged, enjoy some sun by the sea and take a nap on the beach 🏖️, you’ll have earned it! If you still feel up for more, take the car (or the bike 😬) and head to Castelnau-de-Guers 🏰. Not far, you’ll also find the city of Montpellier 📍, rich in history! 🤗
