Le Great Ethiopian Run 10 km International est la plus grande course sur route d'Afrique et la plus grande fête de rue d'Éthiopie. Fondée par la légende olympique Haile Gebrselassie, elle rassemble chaque année plus de 40 000 participants au cœur d'Addis-Abeba. Menée par des coureurs internationaux de renommée mondiale originaires d'Éthiopie, la course allie compétition et festivités, tandis que des milliers de personnes courent, marchent et dansent tout au long du parcours. L'ambiance est électrique, avec de la musique, des couleurs et l'énergie de la communauté qui rythment chaque pas. Au-delà du sport, l'événement a un impact grâce à sa campagne « Running for a Cause » (Courir pour une cause), qui a permis de collecter des millions de birrs pour soutenir les enfants, les femmes et les personnes âgées vulnérables.
