Guiding Light organise chaque année une course/marche afin de soutenir sa mission d'aide aux personnes souhaitant se libérer de leur dépendance. L'événement se déroule au Millennium Park, avec départ et arrivée au Grant Pavilion, et comprend un parcours chronométré suivi d'une remise de prix. Les participants reçoivent un sac cadeau et un t-shirt de l'événement. Les familles, les amis et les chiens tenus en laisse sont les bienvenus, et des aménagements sont prévus pour les coureurs et les marcheurs accompagnés de chiens. Des collations et de l'eau sont fournies. Les bénéfices sont reversés au programme Guiding Light.
