Heidelberg Triathlon

Heading to the incredible city of Heidelberg, a true jewel of Baden-Württemberg 🇩🇪. The program invites you to tackle a calendar staple: the mythical Heidelbergman. Put aside your cruising tempo and time-trial ambitions for the locker room. Although this is a classic format (close to Olympic Distance), the course profile is a true festival of elevation. Your body will have to cope with cycling climbs over 14% and a trail-like urban run to conquer this formidable fortress of the triple effort! ⏱️

The immersion begins with a vigorous plunge into the waters of the Neckar. The asphalt trail then takes over to push you into a fairy-tale setting: your effort will pull you from the riverbanks to rise toward the wooded summit of the Königstuhl, brushing the majestic ruins of the legendary castle of Heidelberg. The burning sensation will peak during the run, as you attack the intimidating Philosophenweg (the Philosopher’s Path). You’ll feel like you’re ruling the world from this natural balcony, carried by a breathtaking view over the old town that will make (almost) forget the fatigue flooding your legs ⛰️.

Forget the calm of isolated events; here the local sports fervor turns the city into a giant cauldron. Spectators pile up on the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke (the central bridge) and on the steepest descents to push you with voice at every transition. A pure release atmosphere welcomes you under the finish arch on the sumptuous Neckarwiese (the riverbank lawns), where the pain of effort instantly fades into the immense pride of becoming a true "Heidelbergman" 🏅.

Keep a final eye on your appetite to honor the generous regional gastronomy once your wetsuit has dried. Above all, celebrate your amazing feat with a toast to a fine Heidelberger Pils, locally brewed and wonderfully fresh. Start your little plateau and dare the Philosopher’s Mountain! 💥
