« Ahou, ahou, ahou » 🛡️ Ready to step into the shoes of a true Spartiate for a truly extraordinary obstacle course? 🤯 Get those guns ready and prepare to test yourself in the 8th edition of the Winter Spartan Race from Valmorel! In January, you’ll have to prove that winter isn’t for hibernating! ❄️ Put on your warmest gear, because it’s on the snowy slopes of this resort in the Tarentaise Valley in Savoie that this legendary challenge will unfold 😍.

Just a heads up, this isn’t a stroll in the park, it’s a obstacle course. On the menu, you’ll have the Spartan Sprint of 5 km featuring 20 obstacles that will have you crawling, climbing, jumping, rolling... and grimacing 😬. If you’re a fighter who wants to go further, go for the Spartan Super of 10 km, with 25 structures ready to throw real roadblocks in your way 🤬. These races test your athleticism and willpower all the way to the finish line! But beware, no cheating : every obstacle must be cleared, otherwise it’s 30 Burpees as a penalty 🥵 (and trust me, nobody wants to meet a judge with a grudge against cheaters). Get ready to blend speed, endurance, technique and a healthy dose of motivation: the ultimate recipe to become a true Spartiate 💥.

Winter Spartan Race, it’s also a festival! 🥳 Once you’ve crossed the finish line, you can celebrate your feat with a nice beer (or two) 🍻 among all the medal-wearing participants 🥇 ready to cut loose 🤪. Moderation is key. Warrior songs 🎶, wild dances 🕺, great food 🍔 and shoppes 🤑, that’s the perfect recipe to forget the pain and remind yourself that you’re now part of the “ Spartans” 💪.

Attention parents who want to toughen up their little warriors from a young age: the Spartan Kids Race offers 3 distances ranging from 1 to 3km. Depending on age, the young Spartans in training will tackle obstacles of all kinds 👶. It’s the perfect moment for them to roll around in snowy mud 🥾, dirty their clothes 🩳, run and shout at full volume 😈, all while being cheered on by mom and dad! In addition to the race, it’s the perfect opportunity for a family weekend 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 in the snow and to explore the 165km of pistes in the domain ⛷️. Not a fan of winter sports? 🫣 No worries! 😎 In Valmorel, you can join a Raquettes and Apéro night, with a cozy fondue 🫕 in the middle of the forest 🌲, while the kids hold down the fort of Martin Fourcade 🇫🇷 during an introduction to rifle shooting 🔫. The training for future champions of the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps starts now 🔥.

After rolling through the snow ❄️, crawling on the ice 🧊, climbing vertical walls 🔝, carrying weights 🏋️ and jumping over obstacles 🪨 , one thing should come to mind: the good Savoyard restaurant 🤤. You can already picture yourself salivating at the menu of melted cheese dishes fromage fondu. If you want to mix it up from raclette and tartiflette, opt for THE traditional dish of Tarentaise: the croziflette.
