About this event
Cette épreuve d'endurance organisée au lac Hinson, à Rockingham, en Caroline du Nord, consiste en une course de 24 heures sur un sentier de sable et de gravier qui fait le tour du lac. Les participants doivent porter un dossard/une puce de chronométrage pour enregistrer leurs tours. Le sentier comprend plusieurs petits ponts en bois et est balisé la nuit par des bâtons lumineux. Afin d'éviter la congestion du sentier, tous les meneurs d'allure doivent être inscrits. Le stationnement est limité et réglementé pour permettre l'accès des services d'urgence. Des récompenses sont remises aux meilleurs participants masculins et féminins, ainsi qu'à ceux qui dépassent certaines distances. L'événement est sanctionné par l'USATF et le nombre de participants est limité à 500.
