Le Holden Turkey Trot vise à lutter contre l'insécurité alimentaire en soutenant la fondation Be Like Brit en Haïti et les banques alimentaires locales, notamment St. John's Food for the Poor, Rutland Food Pantry et Wachusett Food Pantry. Les participants peuvent prendre part à une course, une marche ou une balade ludique. Le départ est donné à la brasserie Seven Saws Brewery à Holden, dans le Massachusetts, et les prix comprennent des cartes-cadeaux pour les meilleurs coureurs de différentes tranches d'âge. Les participants sont invités à apporter leurs propres bouteilles d'eau, car il n'y aura pas de points d'eau. Des t-shirts sont disponibles pour les participants qui viennent retirer leur dossard à l'avance.
