Depuis sa création en 1977, il-Ġirja t'Għawdex est devenue la toute première course sur route de Malte et l'un des événements sportifs les plus attendus des îles. Ce qui a commencé avec seulement 35 participants s'est développé au fil des décennies, attirant plus de 1 000 athlètes du monde entier. Avec son histoire riche et une équipe organisatrice dévouée du Centre de jeunesse de Xaghra, cet événement offre une expérience de marathon exaltante à Gozo, une magnifique région de Malte.
