In April, get ready for a promising race in one of the loveliest small towns in Poland, with start and finish on the Market Square and a festive atmosphere amid the cheers of tourists. Three distances exist: Bronze Rooster 10 km, Silver Rooster 21 km, and Gold Rooster 40 km, offering extremely winding courses and views of the Vistula. After the effort, explore local attractions such as the Korzeniowy Dół Gorge and the Castle and Tower, for a complete experience.
Get ready for a big event, because in April the Kazimierz Dolny Run, hosted by the Janosik Race Series team. It’s a race promising extremely winding routes in one of Poland’s most charming small towns. The start and finish are right on the Market Square, ensuring an incredible atmosphere and plenty of tourist cheers 📣. You can choose from three distances, named in honor of the town’s symbol:
Bronze Rooster (10 km): A dynamic cross-country course – perfect for a first taste of the local gorges.
Silver Rooster (21 km): A half-marathon winding through technical segments and offering picturesque views of the Vistula (also available for Nordic walking) 🥈.
Gold Rooster (40 km): A marathon with elevations exceeding 1000 m – a true treat for ultra fans, crossing the town’s wildest corners 🥇.
After tackling the clay climbs, Kazimierz Dolny offers the country’s best post-race vibe:
✨ Korzeniowy Dół Gorge: A must-visit stroll. The walls lined with twisted tree roots look like a fantasy film set – a perfect spot for a souvenir photo with a medal 🌳.
🏰 Castle and Tower: Climb the ruins of Kazimierz the Great’s castle and the tower for a top-down view of the town. It’s from here you’ll get the best sense of the distance you’ve covered 🛡️.
🌅 Three Crosses Hill: The best viewpoint on the bend of the Vistula. While your legs may protest on the stairs, sunset views erase any muscle fatigue.
