Le Knaresborough Soft Shoe Shuffle se déroule dans le Yorkshire du Nord, au Royaume-Uni. Il propose un parcours en boucle de 6,5 miles qui emmène les coureurs à travers un parc pittoresque et le long d'une ancienne voie ferrée réaménagée reliant Knaresborough à Harrogate. Plusieurs distances sont proposées, les participants effectuant un nombre de tours déterminé en fonction du défi qu'ils ont choisi.
Le parcours emprunte principalement l'ancienne voie ferrée, avec un court tronçon à travers un champ ; des chaussures de course sur route classiques conviennent parfaitement à ce type de terrain. Préparez-vous à un dénivelé positif progressif à mesure que vous traversez le parc. Le parcours est entièrement encadré pour assurer la sécurité des athlètes, et des points de ravitaillement sont disposés tout au long du parcours pour vous aider à tenir la distance.
Chaque participant qui termine la course reçoit une médaille personnalisée, des friandises d'après-course et bénéficie de résultats chronométrés par puce. Dans le cadre de cet événement durable et « sans gobelet », les athlètes doivent apporter leur propre gobelet ou gourde réutilisable pour s'hydrater tout au long du parcours.
