About this event
Discover L’Amnestienne, a solidarity sports challenge organized by Amnesty International France in the Bois de Vincennes, on the Esplanade Saint-Louis. Form a team of four and complete a relay on a 1.4 km loop for 4 hours, in the late afternoon, to accumulate laps and collect donations. Collective objective: €1,000 in support of human rights, with a festive atmosphere and activities to celebrate commitment.
Hang in there! Prove you exist! 🤪
Look no further, we’ve found the bib that will give meaning to your sore muscles 💥. Welcome to l’Amnestienne, the sporty, solidarity-driven, and festive challenge organized by the NGO Amnesty International France, which resists social injustices worldwide 🌎. This event will set up shop at the Esplanade Saint-Louis, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris📍. In the heart of the Île-de-France region, it’s not a simple health walk, but a true collective epic where the aim isn’t to break a world record, but to move things (and your legs) right in front of the majestic Château de Vincennes 🏰.
The stage is set, but don’t let the old stones distract you: you’ve got work to do! The concept is simple yet daring: a relay by a four-person team for 4 hours of intense excitement, in the late afternoon, where the light is perfect for finish-line photos 📸. The course is a 1.4-kilometer loop set in the green surroundings of Bois de Vincennes. You’ll know it like the back of your hand: every corner, every tree will become your best friend (or your worst enemy after 3h30 of rotations) 🌳. It’s a totally free format: you relay as you like, depending on mood and breathing capacity. Fine-tuned Formula 1-style strategy with meticulously timed baton passes every two laps, or a “save-yourself” mode when a teammate can’t go on—it's you who sets the pace ⏱️.
To be clear, participating in this race is a stand against social inequalities 👊. The collective objective is simple: accumulate as many laps as possible while raising as much money as possible. Because this event is charitable! To earn the prized pass and tread on the Esplanade, your team must transform into a true fundraising mission. The goal: raise €1,000 in donationsin advance of the event for Amnesty International France 🗳️. It’s time to reach out to family, coworkers, businesses, an elderly aunt... 👵🏻 But don’t worry: a team from Amnesty International France is by your side to help you reach the sum 🫂.
"But what am I really donating for?" Well, Amnesty International France is a NGO that fights discrimination around the world 🌍. This organization advocates and works to uphold human rights, seek justice, and protect civilians ❤️. For example, this NGO fights against the oppression of women in Iran, supported the Pride Marches, and defends those who fight for our planet ♻️. In short, joining L’Amnestienne is resisting, it shows that even in the darkest moments, your candle won’t go out. After these 4 hours of madness, the tension eases (a bit) to make way for celebration 🥳. On the program: Razid Nourmamode’s DJ set and Habibitch🪩, performance by the House of Gorgeous Gucci 💃, Brazilian batucada 🇧🇷, glowing balls 🔥 and a candlelit concert with Jeanne Cherhal and Gauvain Sers for the finale 🕯️. Seven trophies will be awarded to crown your feats. We’ll honor the athletic performance (Best Men's, Women's, and Mixed teams), but above all the solidarity fundraising (largest amount raised, most donations, or fastest to reach the goal). And because we know some come for the show as well, the prize for the esprit de l'Amnestienne will reward the best entertainment or the most outrageous costumes.
Form your powerhouse quartet, kick off your fundraising, and get ready. Because running is resisting! 👊
