For its second edition, Les Foulées Bessoises invites you to Besse-sur-Issole, in the Var, Provence-Alpes-C Côte d’Azur, in early February. Come choose between two trail events: 15 km with 500 m of elevation gain, or 10 km with 300 m of elevation gain, in the heart of the Centre‑Var paths and trails and authentic Provençal landscapes. A nature race not to be missed to energize small communities and run under the Southern sun.
Voici une course où l'on n'abandonne pas ! 💪 For its second edition, Les Foulées Bessoises invites you to meet at Besse-sur-Issole, in the Var, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 🪻. Ahhh, you can already feel the South! ☀️ The sun will accompany you throughout your race, which will take place at the very start of February 😎. The conditions will be ideal for running! 😁 So lace up your sneakers 👟, pop on your sunglasses 🕶️ and head for one of the two events offered by the Trail Athlétisme Bessois and the association Les 4 Saisons 🤗. This new sports event aims to revitalize small communities 🏘️ and perhaps inspire the trail runners of tomorrow ! 🏃
On the agenda for this event, there will be a trail of 15 km and 500 mD+ as well as a route of 10 km with 300 mD+ ! 🤓 "Les Foulées Bessoises, l'Ascension de Saint Quinis" in its full name will take you through the multiple paths and tracks around Besse-sur-Issole and the surrounding towns, such as Sainte-Anastasie and Camps-la-Source 😌. As you run (Bessoises 👀), you'll discover the stunning landscapes 🖼️ of the Centre-Var 📍, authentic and well-preserved. The Provençal nature 🍃 will charm you at this late winter ❄️, where the wildlife and flora begin to come back to life! 🌸 The 15 km trail will guide you to the Chapel of Saint Quinis ⛪ which will offer an unobstructed view of the roofs of the village and to the high Var countryside 🤯.
If you feel like lengthening your stay in the heart 🧡 of the Provence, you can take the chance to learn more about its history and iconic places! ✨ The village still bears the traces of its medieval past ⚔️ : monuments from the XVIIe and XVIIIe centuries, the stone bridge over the Issole 🪨, the Chapelle St Quinis from the 16th century built at 600 m altitude ⬆️ and other houses preserving the features of the era ! 🤩 And if you needed another reason to detour to Besse-sur-Issole, we highly recommend admiring its natural water feature in the shape of a heart 🫶. You’ll fall under its spell for sure! 🥰
