Trail du Pastel

Pack your things into the the “malle” (your Toulouseian trunk 🚗) and off to the Pastel Trail! 🖍 The jewel of the era, pastel was a luxury product that notably developed in the Toulouse region and left its mark, especially in Lauragais where the race takes place. See you in November in Balma, a charming commune in the eastern suburbs of the Pink City, in the department of the Haute-Garonne in the Occitanie region. 🌺

From the Balma sports complex start, multiple distances will be offered and everyone can find their joy day and/or night (the program is very full 💪 !) : the "McDo Kids Trail" (1 km or 2 km) for the "Pitchounes" 👶, Nordic walking (11 km), the "Lou Pastelou" (11 km)", "the Isatis" (16 km), "the Cocagne" (22 km solo or duo) and the famous "Pastel Marathon" (42 km)

The course holds some wonderful surprises in a largely natural setting with many paths and trails. 🌲 You’ll first follow several waterways such as the Hers river and the Noncesse Creek with a few climbs to warm you up. There are technical sections in the Bois Rond (if you manage to cross it then c’est carré!) that will open the doors to the Lac de Mons and the Lac de Flourens, to calm your mind before facing the "fada" path de Cayrol with its gentle incline! 🤪 We know it’ll be tough but you’ll need to push through, the race isn’t over yet, you’ll show off your descending skills at the exit from the Linasse woods to reach Balma and the finish area. If you chose a night distance, you’ll smell the dawn dew at the end of the course and enjoy a hot coffee after the finish line (If you prefer a daytime route, don’t worry, you’ll also get your hot drink at the end of your trail because in Toulouse, volunteers aren’t just ratchous !) ☕️

After your trail around the city of violets 🟣, you can sample the local culinary specialties—namely the famous saucisse de Toulouse or the Toulouse cassoulet (watch out not to overdo it). Well, after such a hearty meal, you can take a digestive stroll along the banks of the Garonnewhich locals usually enjoy.
