Le Trail des 4 x 1800

It’s in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, at the heart of the mountains of Cantal, in the Massif Central 🏔️, where the station of the Lioran is located 📍. It largely spans the highest municipality of the valley of the Alagnon, Laveissière. This station, nestled among spruce trees 🌲 and the Volcans d’Auvergne Regional Park 🌋, hosts, for its fourth edition 🥳, the Trail des 4 x 1800. Organized by the "Lioran Ski Club", this race offers 5 different events in mid-July : "Le Trail du Plomb" of 13 km, "Le Trail des Crêtes" of 22 km and "Le Trail des 4 x 1800" of 35 km to be done in solo or in duo and finally the "Marathon des Cantalous" which is a pack combining "Le Trail des 4 x 1800" and the "Trail du Plomb" 🔗. Top runners have tested this event for you in previous years, notably Mathieu Delpeuch and Quentin Meyleu. So you can bet that the Trail des 4 X 1800 is serious ! Plus, you’ll be able to earn ITRA points across the circuit UTMB Index 🥇 (2 for the "Marathon des Cantalous" and the "Trail des 4 x 1800" and 1 for the "Trail des Crêtes"). And the organizers have even thought of the youngest among us! 👧 From a very young age, children will get a 1 km loop with a bit of elevation (to get the real experience of the trail 😜), and, depending on age categories, several loops will be required ☝️. It’s therefore a friendly, festive 🎉 and family-friendly 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 awaiting you for this busy weekend of activities and animations 😁.

Welcome then 👋, to the Lioran station, in the heart of the Massif Cantalien. This winter resort area snow park ❄️ spans over 150 hectares 😮 and brings joy to skiers, with no less than 43 runs. In夏Summer ☀️, it’s the turn of the hikers to enjoy the place with a must-do starting point for the summits 🏔️. The diversity and the beauty of the landscapes 🏞️ will amaze you during your walks on forest paths and ridge trails ! The peaks of the mountains, you know, not the hairstyle you used to hold with your Vivelle Dop Gel fixation Beton when you were little ✂️.

Now that the stage is set and you know the environment you’ll be operating in, let’s get to the basics. Here at Finishers, we love to enjoy running, so we wouldn’t derail the mood from the start! 😉 With 600 mD+ for 13 km, "Le Trail du Plomb" (which you won’t have in the wing 🪽), will charm fans of brutal and fast racing ⚡️. It starts at the Lioran for a finish… at the Lorian 🏁. This will also be the case for the "Trail des Crêtes" of 22 km and its 1 200 mD+. As the name suggests, this course will take you to discover the ridges with a passage to the volcanic summit of Peyre Arse 🌋. Finally, let’s end with THE big race of the weekend, the 4 x 1800 and its 2 000 mD+ 👆. On the program? Technical work and passages at the 4 summits, at more than 1 800 m altitude 🌬️.
