After enjoying these lovely rhymes 🐦, as you’ve likely guessed, we’re talking about trail here, and more precisely about La Bel'montaise ! 🥰 In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Belmont-de-la-Loire, in the heart of the Rhône, you’ll journey along the roads and paths of the Beaujolais ! 🍇 7th stage of the Trail Tour Beaujolais Challenge, this event is an unmissable event of the region that brings together many trail runners, lovers of short or long distances 💪. Come challenge the nearby peaks and enjoy a wild slice of nature! 🌿

On the agenda for this day, you’ll find 4 trail routes of 8 km, 14 km, 25 km and 42 km. Starting from the picturesque Beaujolais 🏘️, you should expect 90% technical trails 😬 on the two biggest races and 90% rolling paths 🏎️ on the two youngest in the competition 😌. This is explained if you take a look at the elevations ! 👀 Indeed, Jamy 🧑‍🔬, we observe that the two long events of the day cumulatively 1 900 mD+ and 1 000 mD+ 🤓. Yes, you’ll climb the Mont Pinay, it’s earned! ⛰️ Trust us, your legs won’t thank you 😅, but at the top you’ll surely enjoy a well-deserved panorama 😉. Moreover, the 42 km is part of the Maxi Trail Tour and will earn you 2 ITRA points. Attention to seasoned trail runners, this course is for you! 🫵 But what about the 14 km and the 8 km ? These two races are accessible, even to beginner trail runners 😁. The 14 km still has 500 mD+, and is actually part of the Mini Trail Tour. This trail will require a minimum training, so lace up now! 👟 Don’t panic if you don’t have much free time to hit the trails, the event can be done in pairs! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Same distance to cover, but two times more motivation ! 💥 We guarantee it’ll change the game 😎. And what about the little one? 🤔 8 km and 300 mD+, whether you want to beat your time ⏱️, or make it your first trail, this is the perfect race! 🤗

You’ll surely experience a unique experience ! 🤩 At the same time, with the Haut-Beaujolais scenery as a backdrop monts du Haut-Beaujolais, we wonder how it could possibly go wrong! 😆 While you’re in the area, it would be a shame not to explore the rich architectural heritage of Belmont-de-la-Loire 😊. You’ll be able to admire the Chapelle de Saint-Claude dating from the 17th century ⛪, or the Madone de Montaingu, a Virgin statue in a grotto at the water body site 📍. By the way, speaking of the water body, it’s the perfect spot for family-friendly moments 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 at the recreational base ! 🤽‍♂️ If you want to learn a bit more about the place’s history, you can always head to the top of the Mont Pinay (if your legs can still manage 🥲), to open your eyes a little more to the ruins 👀. Located at 870 m altitude, between the valleys of the Saône and the Loire, you’ll find old German radar stations dating from the Second World War 🪖. This location offers a clear view of the Azergues Valley, which is worth a detour too 😜.
