Greetings, night owl! 👋 It’s time to lace up your glowing sneakers 👟 and come out to hop around under the stars in the charming village of Savigny-le-Sec! 🌟

Headed to Côte-d'Or 🍷 for this Lampion Run that will turn the village’s usually peaceful streets into a nocturnal race track! Halfway through December, when winter settles in and evenings are chilly, it’s the perfect time to warm up your calves by running under the lanterns 🏮. No time to binge-watch Netflix 📺, because this night race will wake up your snow-running side! ❄️

This 100% Burgundian race offers a main distance that will fire up your legs: the Lampion Run of 9.08 km! You’ll complete 4 laps of 2.270 m each through the village streets 🔁. The course will wind around the hall of Savigny-le-Sec (near the town hall), where you’ll circle like a hamster in its wheel... but in a glamorous nocturnal version! 🐹 The route is entirely on tarmac through the village, with a reflective tape along the entire track 🚧. Good news for your joints: flat and even terrain! The only challenge will be not to get lost in thought while turning on these 4 loops... Or not to lose your costume! 🧑‍🎄 Yes, you read correctly. The lampion run is above all a friendly. Putting on a costume will give you a better chance of winning while turning heads! 😉 You’ll truly be the star you think you are 🙌. And if you’re lucky 🍀, try your luck in the tombola organized especially for the event 🎟️ (ticket: 2€).

Two special races have also been designed especially for the youngest warriors! 💪 First, the baby athletics, early childhood and toddlers 🐣 (born 2015–2020) will start in two waves for a first nocturnal running experience 🌙. The peewees and nines 🧒 (born 2011–2014) will launch on a full loop of 2.270 mwith a headlamp on their heads. A real race for older kids who are starting to have real runner legs! 🦵 All young participants will leave with a reward (because we don’t make kids run in the cold for nothing!), and the benjamins/minimes will earn real podiums with the top 3 in each girls’ and boys’ category. All registrations for the children’s races will be on-site the day of the race 📍. A sure way to spark future nocturnal champions! 🏆

Mission accomplished under the lanterns? 🏮 Head to the finish-area refreshment to recover and soak up the friendly atmosphere! Perfect moment to chat with other runners before heading out to explore Burgundy’s charms. You’ll be able to explore the vineyards of Côte-d'Or 🍇 (after the effort, the reward! 😜), visit the medieval villages nearby with their half-timbered houses 🏘️, or discover Dijon’s heritage and its historic monuments 🏛️. Don’t forget to bring back a jar of mustard! And above all, treat yourself to local specialties: a hearty beef bourguignon 🥩, creamy Chaource cheese 🧀, and some Bourgogne snails for the more adventurous 🐌. All washed down with a fine Burgundy wine 🍷, of course!
