Boulieu Trail

Come roll up into a ball at Boulieu in Ardèche, you won’t regret it! In October, the Boulieu Trail takes place in a climate that can swing between mild and rather cool, especially since some starts start at night 🌙. You’ll discover the Ardèche nature dressed in autumn colors and it’s totally worth a detour. 🍂

Seven distances are on the program! The Boulieu Trail will suit all athletes, even Sundays athletes 👍. And we don’t judge, we’re part of it 🤣. Come on, take notes, here’s the menu 📝. The “ Village” is a very accessible route of 8 km. “ Les hameaux ”, is a 12.9 km, also accessible but with a slightly higher elevation gain, which will let you discover the village’s heights. The level climbs slightly with “La Croix de Chirol” and its 20.6 km. But the view of the Alps, the Vercors or even the Pilat is worth all your effort. “ La Cance” is already aimed a bit more at specialists: 39.8 km with a total elevation gain of 1700 mD+, plus a detour into the Pilat Regional Natural Park. The rest are demanding routes that require training 🏃. “ Les Crètes” (56 km with 2100 mD+) and the “ Feltin” (73.8 km and 3090 mD+) will allow you to admire the ridges at the summits of the massifs ⛰️ and breathtaking landscapes 🌄. Finally the “L’UltraTrail” (112 km!) is a unique race in the heights and mountains of the Haut Vivarais. The scenery features a colorful bloom 💐, picturesque and historic villages like Monestier, and a joy at every moment.

We’re not hiding it from you, autumn colors paired with mountainous landscapes will make you want to pause your trail to admire this masterpiece 🤩. So, if you want to beat your best time, we’d strongly recommend coming back for a family hike, a picnic or simply a stroll through the Ardèche forests. Hauterives is also a must-visit place ✅.
