In the heart of the Loire, the Farnay trail takes you on wooded trails and viewpoints that make you want to slow down to take it all in. You choose your distance: 10 km, 17 km or 31 km, with kid and junior routes, for a format tailored to everyone and the friendly atmosphere. After the effort, extend your discovery of the surroundings: Saint-Étienne, Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, Pélussin and the Crêt de l’Œillon offer rewards and breathtaking views.
The Farnay trail, your nature ticket to the heart of the Loire, between forest-scented paths and views that make you want to slow down just to take it all in 🌲.
Choose your adventure: 10 km to treat yourself without overdoing it, 17 km for the perfect mix of “enjoy / push yourself”, or 31 km to go after the “grand format” version of yourself 🏔️ and the kids & juniors routes.
Here, you don’t need to be a machine: you’re coming for the vibe, the terrain that changes all the time, and that little “come back” nudge we call… the call of the trail 🔥.
And after the effort, you stay in the area for the reward: a trip to Saint-Étienne (museums, great spots), a detour through Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez (a village unlike any other), a stroll toward Pélussin at the edge of Pilat, or a stop at the Crêt de l’Œillon lookout to soak in the views 🏛️.
Little bonus plan: you can come as a couple or with family, schedule a relaxed stroll, a picnic in the fresh air, then finish with a drink on a terrace in the nearby villages — just to trail… without overdoing the trail 😉.
