La Kanerdall

The mirepoix 🐷 and the snow ❄️, it can scare many people, but not you, the great Finisher you are 😏! See you in December, for an important step in the winter calendar of the region Grand-Est, in the department of Moselle, and more precisely in Buding📍. Organized by the association of the Arts Hombourgeois, the Kanerdall lets you follow some forest trails 🌲 over a long stretch for an exceptional nature run ! 🍃

Before kicking off the agapes of year-end celebrations and the arrival of the Santa Claus 🎅, it’s time for a last little push 🥵! The organizers offer you two distances: an 8km and a 16km await you on this trail pure. And because you never know how your legs will respond after a few miles, you can choose your distance after the start, after the 3rd km more precisely! That way, no risk of running out of steam in the middle of the course. 😅

So it’s on the site of Buding that we’ll meet with an 8km that will welcome 230mD+. It’s to be noted that the 16km course that includes 425mD+ will pass near the Hackenberg massif, in the perimeter of the largest artillery fortification 🔫 that is part of the Maginot Line 🪖. You’ve obviously understood that this is a nature run mainly using trail paths and you’ll also have sections through the woods 🌳. Depending on the weather, you’ll need to watch your footing or you risk ending up covered in mud 😂! But don’t worry, if your thing is more the asphalt, you’ll also get road sections that pepper the routes. 🛣️

For after the race, the gastronomy of the East of France will treat you with Boulets de Metz (a chocolatey Moselle specialty), Lorraine mirabelle that you can enjoy in all forms and Boulay macarons. A lovely sweet starter before the festive marathon! 😋
