In April, Mandelieu-la-Napoule hosts La Lazaridès, a cyclosportive on the Mediterranean coast with two distances: 112 and 164 km. Elevations can reach 2,500 mD+, offering a winding route designed to push you past while admiring the landscapes of the Esterel, Haut-Var and Préalpes. Between sea and mountains, this exceptional course tests your performance and endurance in an inspiring Azurean setting.
Headed to the Croisette...or maybe not! 🫢 It’s in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, in the Alpes-Maritimes, that you’ll plant your poles 🦯. In April don’t show all your cards 🪡, and yet it’s by the water’s edge, under a warm sun ☀️, that the La Lazaridès 🙂↕️ unfolds. This cyclosportive 🚴♂️ is a unique experience that will push you to surpass yourself while enjoying the breathtaking landscapes of the Mediterranean coast 🌊. The event offers 2 distances for 2 races: one of 112 km, and a distance of 164 km.
Established in 1992 in homage to Apo Lazaridès, this hilly course wiggles 🔀 with sometimes intimidating elevation gain, is a classic of the Azurian road cycling races 🌊. Magic trick! The region’s elder sister is a fierce 😈. With its steep climbs ↗️ ranging from 1 800 mD+ to 2 500 mD+, La Lazaridès is ideal for measuring your performance if you aspire to challenge yourself on longer distances at the same elevations with your 2️⃣ wheels 🚵. And even if, by a few days, you could have tasted it, this isn’t the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival you’ll stroll through like a celebrity 👩🎤, but rather the Esterel, the Haut-Var, the plateaus of the Prealps and the massif du Tanneron... A union of sea and mountain ⛰️, nothing more! 🫠 An iconic route through the mountains of the Mediterranean coast, designed to push you to sweat it out 💦 your legs 🦵 and treat your eyes 👀. Peuchère ! So no time tohave your head in the handlebars if you want to enjoy the scenery! 🤩
And if the urge strikes, extend your sport stay to discover the wonders of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region... 🏖️ Go grab your pastaga on the Place du Vieux-Nice, joined by the locals who’ll show you the local patois, and with whom you can swap your bike 🚲 for a sport a touch more territorial like the pétanque! Just an hour by bicycle away, you’ll finally become a movie star and strut along the famous Croisette in Cannes 🎬. With a bit of luck, you might even spot George Clooney sipping a coffee...
