The green city is renowned for its medieval houses, exceptional heritage and unique charm 😍. For several years now, the Marathon Vert Rennes Groupe Interaction has been strengthening its reputation by hosting the Brittany Marathon 🏆 championships! One thing is sure to be even more on point: the crazy atmosphere and the crowd cheering you on 🎉.

You’ll start this little corner of paradise in October, when temperatures are still pleasant and the autumn colors glow. The Marathon Vert Rennes, it’s the 42 km solo the Marathon Relais Ouest-France relay for 4 for the team spirit and the Duo Bati-Armor for the inseparables! The marathon route will also be open to the wheelchairs! 🧑‍🦽 And because everyone should find something, three other distances are on offer: the 10 km Lamotte you can run from night 🌙, the Yves Rocher Women’s 5 km for the girl power and "La Familiale", a walk of 5 km that anyone can join, and this includes from 6 years 👶. The elevation gain is near 0 for this event, which lets amateurs avoid climbs and competitors chase their new record ! ⌚️ Also, the 10 km Lamotte route carries the FFA Gold Label, so you really know what you’re signing up for 🔥.

You’ll see the kilometer count rolling by too, as the organizers of the Rennes Marathon do! That’s why they turned it into an environmental challenge with a tree planted every two kilometers 🌳. And yes, this is why it’s not called the Marathon Vert de Rennes for nothing ! 😉

Green, like the lush countryside of the department of Ille-et-Vilaine but not only! You will also stroll the streets of Rennes, the Breton capital, with its cobblestone streets and rolling sections. And moreover, the Celtic atmosphere and dances will be part of the journey. Then, between nature (along the Vilaine riverbanks for the marathon) and city, for eye candy, you’ll observe the Vilaine quays, the Parliament of Brittany, the Opera or the Rennes City Hall.
