Trail des Vendanges

The Trail des Vendanges is a highly anticipated event for both winemakers and wine lovers 🍷. It’s the moment when we pick the grapes 🍇 from their stems so they can begin their long journey to become a prestigious bottle 🍾 that will delight wine enthusiasts of all kinds. To celebrate this moment of joy, we invite you to discover the Trail des Vendanges !

The race takes place in the town of Teyran, located a few kilometers north of Montpellier. This isn’t just any race: it is the oldest course in the department! It celebrated its 42 years last year (they’re not shy about it) 1 200 participants challenge themselves every year in September in a very friendly atmosphere, led by the MJC de la ville. You’ll run to music 🎵 and a barbecue buffet 🍖 awaits at the finish. The Trail des Vendanges, it is also a committed event: for every registration, one euro is donated to the association Douce heure, which fights to ensure hospitalized children are accommodated in comfort 😇. So, 1 000 euros will be raised for this noble cause thanks to the race: it really motivates you to push yourself and beat your personal best! Moreover, all the finishers will receive a prize: extra motivation! 😉

Always in this spirit of conviviality and accessibility, the organizers offer several trail routes each year: a half-marathon, a 12 kmand a 6 kmIn addition to these races, you’ll have the option to register for the Nordic walking of 6.7 km. Walking isn’t timed, so you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Hérault to the fullest. As you can see, no one is left out: they’ve thought of everyone. Even children can take part in one of the three distances specially designed for them 👶.

Let’s talk a bit about the scenery. Regardless of the distance you choose, the route will offer very diverse views. You’ll alternate between vineyards, wooded groves 🌳, and of course some passages through the old village. You’ll also be able to gain height and admire the Mediterranean, the Pic Saint Loup as well as the Château de Castriesthat we call the "petit Versailles du Languedoc" 🏰. No matter the distance you choose, you won’t be bored and you’ll be wowed all along the way! 🤩

To finish, the race is part of the Pic Saint-Loup Challenge, which brings together 9 races in the area. It could be the perfect opportunity to start a wonderful running streak in the region! 🤠
