In Poissy, in the Yvelines, Pisciacaise offers two distances in the forest around Saint-Germain-en-Laye and a friendly vibe at the Charmille Park. Runners can choose the 5 km or the main 10 km, and a 12 km walk with a steep climb is also on the program, the route alternating road and woods until the finish in Poissy town center. On the agenda, distances perfect for a potential record, so head to Île-de-France for a road race near the capital. ✌️
Two distances are offered by the organizers for this Pisciacaise, as well as a 12 km with a fairly steep hill not far from Charmille Park. For running, on the other hand, head to the 5 km or the main race: the Pisciacaise 10 km. 😎
For the shortest distance, you’ll start on Route-Vieille de Poissy. A loop of 5 km awaits you mainly in the forest before reaching the finish at Charmille Park For the 10 km, the start is identical with again a route through the woods in the heart of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. If you choose to run the true Pisciacaise, you’ll make a detour to the city of Poissy with a stroll through the town center. Two short distances to discover the beauty of the forest and the city of Poissy. At the finish village you’ll find a festive atmosphere with activities and many Pisciacais coming to cheer you on. 👏
After your race, consider a detour to the toy museum of the town to go back to childhood or the banks of the Seine to stroll and rest. To enjoy the pleasant March temperatures, you can even organize a picnic in Charmille Park (if you haven’t seen it enough during your race 😅). It will be less crowded than in the morning, but you can admire the park peacefully with family. If you want to go further, head to Paris to see things in the capital!
