We hope you’re self-sufficient, because here, no one will climb the trails of Cervelló in your place ! 😂 Welcome to the Pota Roja, a fiery race in the heart of the province of Barcelonawhere your cardio meets the Catalan mountains and your mind savors the thrills of the D+ that burns the calves 💥.

Here, there’s something for every taste—whether you’re a weekend trail runner or a daredevil who collects elevation like tapas 🍤. If you’re starting out and want to test your legs without selling your soul to the mountains 😈, hop on the 8 km with its 263 mD+, a small appetizer to wake up your brain. If you want to go for seconds, try the 14 km and its 546 mD+, perfect for splitting the difference before daring bigger 😍. And if you love it when it burns, the 24 km and its 1 114 mD+ should really satisfy your thighs 🤤. But beware: for those whose neurons are fried by trail love, the 42 km and its 1 925 mD+ await you for a day when you’ll understand the true meaning of the word “slope” 📈. This course will take you through forests between Cervelló, Vallirana and Torrelles de Llobregat 📍. And if running isn’t your thing but you’ve got a bike at hand, the Pota Roja also has two MTB routes of 20 km and 35 km : get ready for your calves, your thighs, and especially your glutesCatalonia 🤩. This family-friendly and social race will make you want to explore the region again after crossing the finish line 🏁.

And after pounding the trails, take the time to explore a spot rich in history 🤓. Maybe you were speeding along and missed the local starcastle Torre Salvana. This 10th-century castle, now in ruins, has seen counts march through and now belongs to Barcelona! 🏰 Just a few kilometers away, you’ll of course find Barcelonathe Catalan capital, ready to welcome you with its Gothic Quarter ⛪️, its ramblas buzzing streets, and its terraces where you can refill your blood sugar with some tapas 🦐, a delicious paella or a Barceloneta bombas 😋 (booooom 💃).
