Corrida de Langueux

Far from the bulls, Langueux’s corrida is more about birds 🐦! It’s at the heart of the the Bay of Saint-Brieucin the Côtes d’Armor in Brittany, this event was created in 1991. Its age is nearly as impressive as the diversity of its courses. So, ready to discover them? If you’re more about the asphalt, you have a choice between one of the two city races of 5 km or 10 km. If you prefer the trail , head for the corrida nature of 13 km or that of 20 km. And if you can’t choose, you can do both by combining one of the Friday trails with the 10 km road on Saturday with the Defi 23 (13 km + 10 km) or the Grand Défi 30 (20 km + 10 km). And because they truly don’t forget anyone, the organizers have even planned several kids’ routes and an 18.5 km Nordic walking event. Time to decide!

In the heat at the end of June, you’ll be able to run on the shorefront with your feet in the mud or on dry land,, so get ready to change terrains. Opposite the Saint-Brieuc Bay Nature Reserve, don’t try to go as fast as one of the 50,000 birds that inhabit it—you might get disoriented. You’ll also get the treat of watching the high or low tide 🌊, a factor that will completely transform the landscape of this bay named as the fifth in the world for tidal range (according to them 😅). Another nice fact: there will be noise, vibe, and people! 📣 Breton music and accordions will be there to light things up and push you toward the start or finish.

Nice, June is the perfect moment to unwind after the race, on a sunny terrace with a glass of Philomenn (the local Breton beer) and a plate of Saint-Brieuc scallops sautéed in salted butter (we’re in Brittany, right 😉)! There are way worse rewards, right?
