Escape the routine with a nature trail set in the unusual Brassac venue (Occitanie, Tarn). On the menu: three technical distances – 12.5 km, 23 km and 42 km – with an ascent of 1880 m and passages through forests, crossing streams and a temporary bridge on the Agout, not to mention the bandas atmosphere and tapas aperitif after the effort. Bonus: discovery of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, the Ouliats church and convent to explore between two ascents.
A trail nature in a unconventional route under the sun of Tarn, that’s what you need this April! In Brassac, Occitanie, the BrassacATrail awaits you with its bandas, a tapas-style aperitif, and an electrifying South-West vibe party! 🥳
The BrassacATrail isn’t just a race. It’s actually a lifestyle and an entire village gearing up to ensure your weekend leaves you with unforgettable memories during and after the event 🤩. But that doesn’t mean it’s an easy trail, quite the opposite 🛑. Here, it’s rugged and steep with a positive elevation gain of 1880mD+. Only the most seasoned will shake off the traps of the course that will reveal the Parc Naturel du Haut-Languedoc !
Three distances are on the program, not forgetting a 15 km hike for those who prefer to enjoy without a stopwatch. The easy version is La Ronde Forestière which covers 12.5 km; the intermediate version, named La Brassagaise, is 23 km. Finally, the colossal marathon covers 42 km. In every case, it’s a route through the woods that await you as nature gradually reclaims its space after several winter months 🏞️. The main 8km loop offers trails and rolling paths in a semi-mountain landscape. And if the wild beauty is enchanting and that’s the hallmark of this trail, you’ll need to be very careful where you tread. For among the rivulet crossings and the temporary bridge over the river Agout, the rock climbing of rocks, the steep descents and the particularly technical ascents, you won’t have time to rest on your laurels. This is trail racing in its purest form! Fun fact: you’ll even pass through a church as well as the Ouliats convent ⛪ ! The BrassacATrail is simply out of this world!
It’s also extraordinary for gastronomy. After checking out Castres and the Goya Museumyou absolutely need to grab local charcuterie and especially the huge cassoulet, the culinary emblem of the region. 😋
