The Saint-Tropez Classic is a race that departs from the port of Saint-Tropez and takes you through the old village up to the Place des Lices, with a view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Two distances are on offer: 8 km “La Tropézienne” and 16 km “La Saint Tropez Classic,” to choose according to how you feel on this variolike course, sometimes perched near the Citadel. Once the Yacht is docked in the harbor, you’re finally on land in Brigitte Bardot! A seaside resort renowned and a flagship spot for Get-27 (no, that’s not for right now!) in the Jet-Set, Welcome to Saint-Tropez! 🍹
Your bib as VIP access lets you enjoy the sea while you run. The race takes place in October, when the old fishing village has just found its authenticity and calm again. So forget the summer bustle and come discover the picturesque Provençal village of the Var as you’ve never seen it, for an exceptional race in Provence-Alpes-Côte-D’Azur by the Golfe de Saint-Tropez!
You’ll have two distances to shine like the biggest stars on the Saint-Tropez Classic, which has sparkled since 1984 (the year of the first victory at the European Championship of the France Team). You can either opt for the short version of 8 km "La Tropézienne" or head out on a route of 16 miles "La Saint Tropez Classic". You’ll need to listen to your body because that’s a decision you’ll make on the course. After all, we’re not here to do the cops, Cruchot understood? It’s a parade of runners flooding the town of Saint-Tropez! The start is given at the port facing the Blue Gulf. No time to fool around, let’s race down the streets of the old town! You’ll pass by La Citadelle a listed historical monument, then reach the bay of Canebiers and end your journey at the iconic Place des Lices. There’s never too much Saint-Trop’! And we understand why, because the harbor is truly worth a look, not just for the many yachts and luxury sailboats.You’ll traverse not only old Saint-Tropez, but you’ll also have a unique and breathtaking view of the gulf from the Citadelle!
If you managed to snag a boat or a nice table to recover from your efforts, with your Tropézienne tart, you should absolutely pair it with a glass from the Saint-Tropez Vineyards or a 30€ Coca-Cola, up to you 😬. If that’s not the height of luxury! By the way, if you enjoyed the setting (and we don’t doubt it!), you can return for a Gulf tour with the Saint-Tropez Marathon!
