You’ll be immersed in nature, the perfect opportunity to recharge while giving your legs a workout! 🦵 Through the forests and along the trails 🌲, you’ll discover the Gironde lands 🏞️ in weather ideal for performance, though a few showers might join in 🌧️. Bring your rain gear! ☔ You’ll be just a few dozen kilometers from Bordeaux and its sandy beaches facing the Atlantic Ocean! 🌊 But before catching the wave 🏄‍♂️, here’s more about what awaits you at Saucats 😉.

You’ll be able to choose from three routes: a 10 km trail, a 10 km walk 🥾 and a 17 km trail for the boldest 👟. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced runner, you’ll find a challenge that fits you! 😁 In addition, the routes have been crafted straight from an episode of Jurassic Park ! 🐲 No worries, you won’t encounter dinosaurs on your path 😂. You’ll pass through the heart of the Réserve Géologique de Saucats et la Brède, which protects 6 sites featuring solidified shells and fossils 🐚. So you’ll likely encounter species of shellfish and other fossils dating back thousands of years ! 🤯 But your trail won’t be 100% like that terrain. Indeed, you’ll run through many vineyards!🍷 Yes, you’ve probably heard of the Bordeaux wines, well you’ll be right in a wine-growing zone 🍇. Spoiler alert 🚨 : as a participant, you’ll leave with your bottle of wine! 🍾 (excessive alcohol consumption is dangerous for your health, drink responsibly)

After your race, you’ll need activities to end your day on a high note! 😋 Great news, Saucats and its surroundings are full of gems to discover 🧭. You could, for example, visit the Château de Mongenan 🏰, a true XVIIIth century jewel. If you’re more of an adventurer 🗺️, the Lac de Lacanau nautical base will offer amazing sensations, and if you still have legs after your event, you might even make it to the ocean and try surfing! 🤙
