About this event

La Transcantábrica is a getaway to Reinosa where the mountain, the lake and roads that make you want to press just “to see” become the backdrop of the route in Cantabria. Starting from Reinosa, choose between 139 km for a hardy outing or 187 km for a real cycling story with that little moment of self-negotiation. Between Fontibre and Castillo de Argüeso, then return to Reinosa to end beautifully with coffee and memories.

The Transcantábrica, it’s your perfect excuse to come ride in Cantabria: a land of mountains, of the lakes and roads that make you want to just press “try” before reminding yourself that you’re here to treat yourself 🚴‍♂️.

Starting from Reinosa, you immediately feel the vibe: here, nature isn’t just a backdrop, it’s the star of the route. Between the distant ridges and the crisp mountain air, you’ll be wowed… and your legs will too! ⛰️

You choose your adventure: 139 km for a bold and joyful ride, or 187 km if you want to tell yourself a true cycling story, long and beautiful, with that moment when you bargain with yourself 😉.

If you’re staying in the area, go for a detour to Fontibre (the birthplace of the Ebro, nothing less), then take a medieval detour to the Castillo de Argüeso for a two-pedal medieval interlude 🏰.

And to end on a high note, settle yourself in the center of Reinosa: a short stroll, a café on the terrace, and you’ll redo the race in “I still have juice” mode (we’ve all done it). In short, you come to ride, you leave with a real journey. ✨
