About this event
In Is-sur-Tille, the Trail des Trois Rivières offers 8 varied distances in May, ranging from fast-foot paths to more hilly courses, set in a natural Burgundy environment. Dynamic formats such as the Mont Course (10 km), the Ignon (14 km), La Tille (30 km), and the grand T3R (82 km) coexist with family options and a Venelle labeled at the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Championship. Get ready for elevation gain and a sports experience suited to all levels, in the heart of nature.
You’ll have to get wet if you want to keep pole position 🏆. Well, that’s one way to put it... You can leave your arm-bands and your hoodie in the locker room, because we’re talking running here 😎.
The Trail des Trois Rivières takes place in Is-sur-Tille, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Heads up, this has nothing to do with the famous rhum 3 rivières, here your legs will be pulsing more than your head 🍹. Organized in May, it’s ideal for a nature-filled and sunny break in Côte-d’Or ☀️. Between trails, push-ups and easier sections, you come for running pleasure in a green setting, with a real challenge that’ll get your heart rate up 🫀. The department isn’t known for being perfectly smooth, and you’ll quickly notice 😝.
Whatever your level, you can find your format and set an objective to match you 🎯. The organizers haven’t slacked and have made 8 distances available to start from. We know: 8 distances 📏, 3 rivers, we don’t go for half measures here 😂. For fans of fast courses: the “Course du Mont" of 10 km is the No. 1 option. Here there’s no endless loop, but an incomparable speed. The second option is the “Ignon" 💨. Don’t read too much into its pretty name, the 14 km hilly route that awaits isn’t “cute 🥵”. Get ready to take on climbs, the 400 mD+ will give you no relief. One level higher, you’ll find a race that’ll push your endurance: “La Tille" 🏃. With 30 km of trails and 900 mD+ of cumulative altitude, you’ll need cardio to drop other runners like quilles 🎳. You’ll learn to manage your energy, drinks, and food reserves for over 2 hours 🤯. For the boldest runners, a monster of 82 km will also have you trotting through the Burgundy landscapes bourguignons. The “T3R”, the event’s final boss, so don’t arrive with your hands in your pockets 😅. Meanwhile, if you truly want to go at acool pace and not stress ahead of the sunny days: a family race of 1 km is offered. Perfect for a little picnic on the grass and a sunny nap 🧺. The detail-obsessed may notice the absence of 3 distances in our presentation, here they are: two kids’ courses of 2 km and 3 km and a Nordic walk of 13 km, the “Venelle" 🎒. And from the Venelle side, we don’t kid around ❌, the course holds the national label and is part of the Championship of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Children, amateurs, professionals, walkers or runners, there’s truly something for every taste at Is-sur-Tille 😊.
After the race, if you can’t find yourself on the gorgeous island of Martiniquian rum 🇲🇶, you can enjoy the surroundings Côte-d’Or locals. No sea breeze or fine sandy beaches in sight, but sunshine and greenery instead 🌱. Here’s our top 4 activities you can enjoy within an hour’s drive! 🛣️ The local classic is Dijon. The city center will feel specially crafted for the occasion: condensed, charming and historic 🤩. No need to walk miles between each landmark. And to end the day beautifully, slip into a quick hot dog at the Moutarde de Dijon or sit on a terrace to enjoy a hearty beef bourguignon 🥩. Continuing south, you’ll also find the , a regional must-see. And if beef in Dijon isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of it around 😉. For those who prefer vineyards to cattle, the Château du Clos de Vougeot offers guided tours (and tastings 🤤). A beautiful heritage, some vines, and a divine liqueur, that’s the kind of treat we love 😎.
