Lake Biwa 100 s’appuie sur Ōtsu, en préfecture de Shiga, pour faire le tour du plus grand lac du Japon sur 169 km, à travers forêts et sentiers en bord de eau, avec des ambiances qui changent à chaque portion. À l’arrivée, profitez des repères près du départ : Miidera (Onjō-ji), Ōtsu Port et le sanctuaire Omi Jingū, puis Sakamoto pour une balade et un repas local.
Tu veux une aventure qui te fait voyager autant qu’elle te fait vibrer ? Lake Biwa 100, c’est Ōtsu comme camp de base, la préfecture de Shiga comme terrain de jeu, et le plus grand lac du Japon comme voisin de palier 🌊.
Ici, tu ne cours pas juste “une course” : tu fais le tour d’un décor vivant, entre forêts, chemins au bord de l’eau et ambiances changeantes à chaque portion 🌲. Le format 169 km te promet une vraie histoire à raconter, du premier pas au dernier, avec ce petit goût de “reviens-y” typiquement japonais 🗾.
Et puis Ōtsu, c’est la ville parfaite pour ça : facile à vivre, belle sans en faire trop, et juste ce qu’il faut de calme pour rester focus. Tu viens pour en baver un peu, tu repars avec des images plein la tête… et les jambes qui te rappellent que le Biwa ne fait pas dans la demi-mesure ! ⛰️
Après l’arrivée, je te garde le meilleur à portée de main, tout près du départ à Ōtsu : va souffler au Miidera (Onjō-ji), un temple magnifique pour remettre de l’ordre dans tes pensées (et dans tes mollets). Passe par Ōtsu Port pour prendre l’air au bord du lac et regarder la lumière glisser sur l’eau. Fais un détour par le sanctuaire Omi Jingū, hyper agréable pour une balade tranquille. Et si tu veux prolonger le plaisir en mode couple ou famille, file vers Sakamoto et ses ruelles au pied du Mont Hiei, parfaites pour une promenade et un bon repas local 🍜.
