Ready for the parade in shorts and sneakers? We're thrilled to announce the 5th edition of the Cannes Urban Trail is open! 🎟

If you want to be the star 😎, you obviously have to come to Cannes! Located southeast of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, in the Alpes-Maritimes department, the city is famous for its Promenade de la Croisette along the coast with fine sandy beaches ⛱, but also for its renowned Cannes International Film Festival. And believe it or not, every year, in September, a short film worth seeing is shot: the Cannes Urban Trail. It’s under radiant, still-warm sun that you’ll be able to take part in this end-of-summer event: Cannes enjoys sunshine all year round. Ah, the south we love! ☀️

The trailer has whetted your appetite, hasn’t it 🤤? Then let’s dive into a closer look at the courses. First things first, know that the Cannes Urban Trail is for everyone: walkers, casual runners or seasoned athletes, with or without fins 😆… And for this edition, three films are on the lineup 🎬. Le Grand Cannois, urban trail race of 27 km, will take you around Cannes from top to bottom with your legs' power. Le Petit Cannois is expected to be more accessible with its 14 km, but no less beautiful! Finally, the course of 8 km of the Cannes Discovery Run promises to please most participants: trailblazers seeking a nice time or walkers, this distance is for you.

Actors or extras, this urban trail is your chance to run through the heart of the city and the hidden trails of Cannes 🏃‍♂️. And no, you’re not here to tan… So action! Your race will start in style with feet (almost) in the sand, a stone’s throw from the Vieux Port and the Palais des Festivals. Depending on the distance you choose, you’ll head in a different direction. One thing’s for sure, you’ll be wowed by the views 👀, on a course that promises to be far from dull. Stairs, paths, roads and beaches will lead you to stunning viewpoints of the city. With the mountains of the Préalpes d’Azur or the massif de l’Esterel in the backdrop on one side, and a breathtaking view of the bay and the Iles de Lérins archipelago on the other, you’re in for a treat 🤩! And what about the finish… Arriving like a movie star (or not 😅), you’ll climb the famous red stairs for a celebratory finish. The gold medal for Best Finisher is yours!

Closing clap for your race, but not for your Cannes getaway! After seeing it from afar, you can reach the Iles de Lérins to enjoy some downtime. Touching down on the Île Sainte-Marguerite, the pine and eucalyptus scent in the air will feel like an extended vacation 😍. For a recovery, you can stroll the island’s trails and discover its Fort Royal (and maybe crack the secret of the Man in the Iron Mask… 🏰). But all this effort is hungry work, right? Then head back to shore to savor local specialties: aioli or pissaladière will delight your taste buds with Provençal notes.

No time for tanning on the Croisette!
