Le Radicatrail

Come soak up your Normand air—it's perfect fuel for a great race!

Even more so at the Radicatrail 😉, the legendary event that will throw a lot at you. No matter your level, beginner or seasoned, head into the Normandy region, in Seine-Maritime, in the town of Lillebonne (Lille, but better 😂). The organizers offer 5 distances: the most approachable is 14 km of trail or Nordic walking, entirely up to you. The night trail of 17 km will take you past its Roman theatre 🎭, the city’s iconic landmark. And finally 3 self-supported trails, of 34 km, 62 km and 124 km. For the longest of the 3, the most legendary, you’ll get an epic nighttime start with music and smoke. Attack, Finishers ⚔️ !

Do mind the weather, the race takes place in April, so you’ll need something to shield you from rain and cold 🌧️. As for the course, you’ll have a few road sections that let you appreciate the architecture of Norman villages. But don’t worry—the nature is right next door; most of the route winds through very technical paths in wild, green scenery for this time of year. A good level of fitness is advised if you don’t want to trip and get nicked 🤕. Then you’ll pass through landscapes that keep changing—fields, woods, meadows with cows, muddy paths, rivers, and the banks of the Seine. At the end of the effort, a brass band will greet you with music at your finish 🎺 !

After the race, if you’ve still got energy, enjoy your Normandy getaway to explore the center of Lillebonne or head towards Etretat to admire its legendary cliffs and to taste the region’s specialty: fresh scallops Coquilles Saint-Jacques. The gathering spot for gourmet runners 😋 !
