If your runs are collecting dust and you’re looking for an excuse to get the rubber burning, we’ve unearthed the perfect plan in Saône-et-Loire, in the heart of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region 🐮. We’re taking you on a 100% solidarity pilgrimage called The Challenges Steps of Anthony 🏃. To set the scene for your future feat, the action unfolds in the stunning Brionnais countryside Brionnais 🤪. The nerve center of this big gathering is on the church square in Saint-Symphorien-des-Bois, right in front of the Anthony’s house. Originally, this event started from a bold challenge by Patrick Torres in tribute to Anthony who passed away from leukemia at the age of 21 years in 1998 😢. The starting pistol is fired exactly 50 years after his birth, turning the village center into a true human hive ready to take on the disease 👊.

The organizers have drawn up three clearly marked routes that wind through three communities of the canton of La Clayette : Saint-Symphorien-des-Bois, Curbigny and La Clayette 📍. If you opted for the short format, you’ll find yourself on La Sensfrine and its 8.9 km with 100 mD+ that will push you to pick up the pace after every corner 💥. For those who like mid-length distances, bet on La Dréesienne offering 14.1 km of effort for 180 mD+. Finally, if you’ve got a runner’s edge and want to boost your endorphin tally, set your sights on Le Semi d’Anton with its 21.5 km of stout effort for 260 mD+ 🔥. The association, which today has 350 members, does monumental work having already raised and donated more than € 894,372 to Lyon hospitals, notably Édouard Herriot, the Hospitals Sud, the Centre Léon Bérard and the IHOP 🤪. Running here is contributing to an extraordinary human chain whose funds directly support medical research 🩺. Your kilometers fund clinical research not covered at the institutional level, essential for evaluating the treatment protocols 💊. Your bib also supports transplant development with the study of Busulfan or cyclosporine kinetics 🔎. You run for a good cause
