Aaaah the Brittany, this region so unique, and yet so loved by the French (and the rest of the world too!) 💚. Paul Gauguin, the illustrious painter, made it his source of inspiration 🖼, the 20 km of the Blue Ribbon, they in turn make it their playground 😉. And then, after all, if we can combine utility with pleasure, why not? Because yes, far more than a trail 🍃 in semi-autonomy, is mainly a charity race ❤️ that the organizers offer you. So, mark in your calendar that at the end October, it’s in Brittany that it happens! 🤗

Indeed, while running here in Fréhel, in the Côtes-d’Armor, you’ll get the chance to contribute to the fight against the multiple sclerosis 💪. The event’s watchwords are the "Solidarity"the "Overcoming yourself" and the "Sport" 🏋️‍♂️. All funds raised will be donated to the fight against multiple sclerosis, so don’t hesitate for a second to grab a bib and discover the stunning landscapes that the course offers 😍.

Speaking of the route, what have the organizers lined up for you? 🧐 For this edition of the 20 km of the Blue Ribbon, the course changes completely! The distances, however, do not change, with a 10 km and a 20 km. If you used to be a devoted attendee of the event, you’ll quickly need to change your running habits to rediscover these paths and trails along the sea 🌊. Yes, the sea will be present at the start of the route: the sea air, the scent of salt, the sun, you’d think you’re on vacation 😎. Well, the sun isn’t always there, because it’s literally a four-season race you’re about to experience. It’s possible to go from a pounding rain to a dazzling sun, in the span of a morning 😂. As you’ve guessed, Mother Nature does as she pleases, so dress accordingly 👍. But after your seaside passage, you’ll move inland to discover the very pretty hamlets of the region! 🏡

You’ll also be surprised by the great atmosphere that reigns at the start/finish village of the races 🥳. To keep this little crowd entertained, what could be better than a friendly gathering, festive and joyful around music played by Fréhel Sono and their announcer 🎤. The Breton atmosphere is even taken to the extreme, with at the final aid station, a far breton, and as a reward if you finish among the top, a basket filled with local products 🧺.

But don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to discover the region’s cultural heritage and gastronomy even after the race so you won’t miss a thing (or before if you’re eager) 😁. Discover the Chapelle du Vieux Bourg, this 14th-century building or the Fort la Latte, which you may have seen along the route, also built in the 14th century. And to please your taste buds 🤤, we strongly recommend the must-try scallops Saint-Jacques from the Saint-Brieuc Bay, accompanied by a little glass of cider or a local beer, to enjoy in moderation 🍻.
