Pioneering trail running from the 1990s ☎️, Upie's striders were the appointment of April 🐟 for runners from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. And no, that isn’t a joke, it’s still in the same place, in Upie, a small town in the Drôme department where the Hivernale des Foulées Upiennes starts its start. So it’s true, you’re getting closer to the Mediterranean 🌊 and the cicadas 🪰 but that won’t make it hot at the end of January 😅! Expect no more than 7 degrees, so don’t forget your beanie, your scarf 🧣 and your gloves 🧤. For fun in the great outdoors 🍃, the association Promo Sport 26 offers you a 9km, a 14km and a 19km on the endless terrain of the Miery hills. 🏞️

In a familial atmosphere 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and plenty of fun, these hills will welcome you to a welcoming environment 👐🏼. A special space for the trail runners the bravest, and for anyone who wants to taste their first 100% nature run 🌳. Since this trail is an event, it makes sense that it starts next to the town hall 🎉 of this small village. Perched in the heights of Drôme, the narrowness of its streets makes it a picturesque and preserved 🔐 site. You’ll be able to explore new circuits (as every year) and even take a selfie with notre dame de Miéry 🤳🏻. From the top of its little tower, it monitors and protects the Upiens. As every year, the routes of Hivernale are exclusive ⚠️ and could be the the theater (of dreams) of your first athletic challenge of the year 💪🏼. Distances for everyone and the elevation to really have fun. 251mD+ for the 7km and 459mD+ for the 14km to run solo or with a duo 🔗, it’s the exclusive ➕➕ of this edition! And for those with the biggest appetite, a 19km with no less than 690mD+ 🥵. No matter which distance you choose, there will be very little road to cover 😍. Through the woods 🌲, the trails and plenty of steep hills to conquer in true trail fashion, eye-watering nose-tingling moment 👃🏼 will be on the menu today. You’ll still be able to enjoy some downhills on a well-marked and clear course 🧹.

Yes, the Drôme prefecture of the Valence, is only about a twenty-something kilometers away.
