This year again, The Vincennes Run is back in force to help you mark their event in your running calendar! 🤠 Easily accessible by public transport, Vincennes boasts an exceptional heritage and a prime location on the doorstep of Paris 🥐. This town in eastern Paris situated in the Val-de-Marne has it all. Notably, its woods, known for being the largest green space in Paris 🌳: a perfect escape for clearing your mind and recharging in peace! Well, we can’t promise the weather will cooperate 🌨️, since the race takes place in February 😂. But what we can guarantee is that wandering the streets of this little corner of paradise in Île-de-France, you’ll be especially proud to have taken part in this race! 😉
No pomp or royal parade on the agenda 🎀, it’s The Vincennes Run that takes the spotlight! 🏆 For an entire day, the city opens up to Francilian athletes 🇲🇫 (and others! 😌) for a road race between urban surroundings and nature 🌺. On the menu, three distances are offered to suit everyone: two "leisure" 5 km and a 10 km 🔝 so everyone can go at their own pace and have a good time in these events. To the cool 😎 as they say!For sport enthusiasts, the 10 km of Vincennes "competitive" is also on the menu 🏋️♀️.
Your day starts with a warm-up in a festive atmosphere near the legendary Château de Vincennes 🏰: don’t just stand there in front of its imposing keep (52 m high, wow! 😱), risk of blowing your start! You’ll quickly reach the forest of Bois de Vincennes before taking the wide avenues of the town. Gear yourself to give your all in the photo finish 🏁, in front of the Town Hall, where you’ll be supported and cheered on by a sizeable crowd of spectators 🙌: there might be someone you want to impress, so we’re counting on you to give it your all! 💪
Don’t worry, your hard work during the Ninja Warrior 🦸♂️ will be rewarded and you’ll also enjoy the activities happening throughout the day to wind down 💆♂️. And if you want a treat, try the Vincennoise : it’s an artisanal jam once made in Vincennes and it’s back in style! Pure delight... 🤤
