Live the seasoned experience of the Ajaccio Marathon in Ajaccio, Corsica, with 3 distances (10 km, half marathon and marathon) all qualifying for the French Championships. Start in the Étrangers district, outbound and return along the route of the Sanguinaires, sea and Mediterranean coast views, Marinella and Terre Sacrée beaches on the program. A historic race born in 1989, ideal for blending performance and scenery.

If you want to mix stunning scenery with performance, this race is for you. It offers several distances: the 10 km, the half marathon, or, if you’re well prepared, the famous marathon. Note that these 3 courses arequalifying for the French Championships, ready to claim your title? If yes, gear up for April, lace up (and your flip-flops) and join Ajaccio, the capital of the Corsicaroad race that began in 1989 (the year when Roch Voisine released Hélène, that doesn’t make us younger 🙄 ) runs along the southern coast of the island, under a beautiful Indian-summer sun. Can you feel that vacation vibe?
Leave your beach towel for now and get on track to chase your record. The start is in Ajaccio in the Étrangers districtreturn trip._ For the half, you go as far as the Pointe de la Parata and then back. For the marathon+ you do the same thing but twice. That means two times more time to soak in the scenery and the Mediterranean coastline 😎 . You’ll be able to admire the many sandy beaches lining the road such as the Marinella beach or the beach of the Terre Sacrée. During the outbound leg, you’ll glimpse the Sanguinaires archipelago and the Geese Tour of La Parata which will come closer as you progress.
Napoleon’s birthplace is full of things to do after your race, so take time to discover the imperial city. First, visit the park A Cupulatta which is home to no less than 3,000 tortoises 🐢 . Then head to the Bonaparte House to learn more about the emperor and his family. Stop by also to sample regional products: charcuterie, cheeses, wines or Bastelles; there is something for every taste.
O brother, come blow off steam on the beautiful island of beauty, it’s going to be intense!
