Look no further, we’ve found the perfect compromise: the Marathon of Europe ! 😉 So as you might expect, it happens in Europe 📍, but more precisely in Aveiro, Portugal. Late April, accompanied by the beautiful spring colors 🎨 and a few rays of sunshine 🌞, you’ll start the 5th edition of a marathon that has nothing left to prove! 😎 Yes, the name of this event doesn’t carry the weight of an entire continent for nothing! 🌍 The course, in the heart of the "Venice of Portugal", has seen a shower of records ☔ and notably that of the fifth best time in Portugal’s history over the imperial distance of 42.195 km. So lace up your shoes 👟 and don’t forget to start your timer, because your clock might just beat! ⏱️

Although many elite athletes from around the world flock to the start line 🚩, the Marathon of Europe hasn’t lost its childlike spirit ☝️. The event offers 3 other races: a half marathon, a 10 km, and even a 5 km walk! And if that isn’t enough to sell you a dream, we’ve got more: the course! 😝 Not only fast, but simply grandiose 🤩. You’ll run to the rhythm of the canals and its moliceiros, traditional boats of the Aveiro 🛶, but also to the sound of leaves singing 🍃 in the parks 🌳. The architecture will not leave you behind with a fusion of traditional and modern 🏛️, adorning the city with elegant façades and unique ornamental details! ⭐ It might not be by accident that the race is broadcast live 🎥. And by the way, there are two who will shine for sure: the two ambassadors! 💪 The organizers have recruited real stars of the running world in Portugal who are none other than Aurora Cunha and Joao Neto. Respectively three-time world road racing champion and the so‑called Marathoner of Impossible Things", these two champions will be there to give you the motivation you need to tackle your event in the most wonderful way: with a smile! 😁

You won’t lose that smile after the race 🤗. Okay, we’ll allow a small grimace to show the post-race stiffness 🙄, but after a good massage, you’ll be back in attack mode to explore the rest of the Aveiro! ☺️ And you won’t have to be a heartbreaker to enjoy it, because with a rich natural heritage and a warm, passionate hospitality 🥰, you’re sure to fall in love.
