A fast-paced route with breathtaking views! Rhodes Marathon (TUI Rhodes Marathon) is one of the most scenic races in the Greek islands. The flat course runs right along the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, the Mandraki port, and the imposing medieval walls of the old town of Rhodes. Multiple distances are offered: marathon (42 km), half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and kids' races 🏃☀️.
After crossing the finish line, Rhodes offers an ideal island retreat! Lose yourself in the old town of Rhodes (UNESCO) – stroll the picturesque Knights Street and visit the mighty Palace of the Grand Masters 🏰. Head to the Mandraki portwhere, according to legend, stood the famous Colossus of Rhodes, or visit the Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes) 🦋. Then head to the postcard-worthy town of Lindos with its white houses, the charming Saint Paul’s Bay, and the ancient acropolis perched on the rock 🏛️.
To finish the day, sample grilled octopus, traditional moussaka, and the local specialty Melekouni (a honey-sesame crunchy bar), all washed down with Greek wine at sunset🐙🍷.
