Si tu as déjà couru le légendaire Marathon d'Athènes (ou s'il fait partie de ta TO DO de courses à pied, tu pourras te targuer de connaître cette petite anecdote) alors tu as certainement remarqué sur la ligne de départ les deux superbes statues représentant des marathoniens en pleine action. Pour la petite histoire ces statues ont été offertes par une ville chinoise, Xiamen avec laquelle Marathon (ville de départ du Marathon d'Athènes) est jumelée. Située dans la province du Fujian, Xiamen partage avec Marathon sa passion pour la course à pied et organise, depuis 2003, l'un des plus grands marathons de Chine 🇨🇳.
Tout ce qui fait la particularité de cette course, c'est la beauté de son parcours. En effet, pendant 42,195 km tu auras la chance de courir le long de la mer de Chine méridionale et à travers les parties les plus pittoresques et historiques de la ville côtière. Le centre de conférences et d'expositions sera ton point de départ et d'arrivée après avoir foulé la Island Ring Road (de son vrai nom Huandao Lu). Outre le magnifique panorama, la gentillesse et l'enthousiasme des locaux sont également au rendez-vous et donnent tout son charme à l'événement 😃 !
Petit plus du Marathon : il fait partie du cercle restreint des courses dotées d'un label d'or de l'IAAF (et ça, ça claque quand même 😎).
