Follow his tracks, of course by running. Will you manage to catch up with him? In any case, the trail in Aubrac takes place every year in Nasbinals in June, in the Lozère department of Occitanie. You will be able to admire the sunlit plains of summer ☀️ along the plateau de l’Aubrac, shared by the three departments of Aveyron, Cantal and Lozère.

You have 7 courses to choose from. Short distances among which you can pick between La Capucine (10 km), the Trail des Corrals (which you can do while singing) from 12 km or the Trail des Capucins from 17 km. For long distances, the options are as follows: the cap Aubrac from 31 km, the Marathon des Burons or the Pass’Aubrac in relay both on 44 km and finally the longest the Aubrac Circus, from 56 km. Apart from distance, these courses don’t have any particular difficulties.

Whatever you choose, the scenery will be varied and wild. Between woods, forests, and waterfalls, you’ll have plenty to enjoy the array of colors brought by the plateau’s floral richness 🌻. During your run you can refresh by crossing a few rivers, perfect to cope with the summer heat 🏊‍♂️. You’ll even run along the numerous boraldes that make up the plateau of the Aubrac. But tell me Jamy what are boraldes? Well Sabine, they are small streams specific to the Aubrac that rush down the slopes to feed the Lot. As you descend them you’ll meet some cows that will surely be there to cheer you on as you pass, in alpages and drailles that embellish your course 🐄. Too much plain can kill the plain? Don’t worry, you’ll also walk through a few hamlets like Bonnefon, but also many burons, which are the emblem of this trail.

Once finished, catch your breath 🌬️, and go refresh yourself by visiting the Château de la Baume in Lèvres. Sepp, the friend of wolves, is that you? Not? No problem, you can still go see them by visiting the Gevaudan Wolf Park. After the effort, comes the comfort, go taste the aligot and the laguiole
