Four distances offered by the organizers for this event: an 8 km, a 12 km, a half marathon or a marathon that you can run solo or in a team of 3 (with staggered starts and a joint finish) 😎. In addition to these races, you can also take part in one of the 4 hiking routes (5 km, 10 km, 15 km and 20 km) non-timed which will take place the next day 🏃♂️. It’s in the heart of the vineyards of Saône-et-Loire that you will run through charming villages and vast vineyards, all in Burgundian vibes 🍇.
Burgundy and its world-renowned vineyards are about to dazzle you 🤩. Just like the costumes of the participants, which you can wear too if you want to join the party 🦸♀️. You’ll start in the village of Givrybefore heading to some charming communes such as Mellecey, Rully, Barizey or Saint-Jean-de-Vaux. From the 14th to the 16th kilometer, you’ll cross paths with other runners in a little cross-over, a moment to cheer each other on. The rest is a series of bucolic landscapes typical of Burgundy that you’ll get to admire in the heart of vineyard villages ❤️. The majestic setting with vines and horizon-spanning hills will offer you a poetic and gentle course. The refreshment stops will be as sporty as festive with a few gastronomic stops where you’ll be offered the famous Burgundy wines and local dishes 🥤. A running tour of the Côte Chalonnaise is a moment to savor because it’s a unique experience 😍.
You’ll also enjoy after your arrival in Givry the famous Burgundy snails and the renowned jambon persillé. You can again pair these dishes with a glass of wine from a local big winery 🍷.
