In the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Haute-Savoie, in Annecy ⛰️, dive into the Adidas TERREX Maxi-Race 2026 which is THE Trail of Annecy par excellence 👑, a very popular event with the Lac d’Annecy in the backdrop 🤩. Its name hints at a big party on the horizon, but you’ll wait until the end of the race if you want to crush it all! 🥳

Saying the program is full would be an understatement 😅: 5 distances are planned, no less! Come on, here we go, take notes 📝 : a kids’ course 🧒, a 16 km 100% women (girl power 💪), a 16 km, a 42 km, a 62 km, the 94 km classic solo (over one or two days) or relay for duos or quatuors of athletes. So, have you picked your dish? 🍽️

The races take place at the beginning of June. Expect a spring vibe? 🌸 Not really 😬. It’s the mountains! As you climb, you might even wander across a few snowy peaks ❄️, so get ready, the high-level competition vibe 🍸 and the changing temperatures shouldn’t be taken lightly 🫡. More than the lake these legs might just catch fire! 💥

If you go for long distance, the headlamp is a must 🔦 : even if you’re an early riser, that hurts 💤. All routes feature the backdrop of the Lac d’Annecy 🏞️. But the landscape sequence is not to be missed: steep mountainsascents in the woods 🌲, rocky passages 🪨 or snowy sections and even a few steps in mud 🫠. Anything is possible! Expect a typical high-mountain environment ⛰️? Nailed it! Wide meadows, spruce forests, ridges and a fascinating view of the Mont-Blanc, your eyes will also be awed by so many wonders ✨. You’ll also pass through some iconic local spots: Roc Lancrenaz, Doussard and Le Semnoz.

For the ambiance, the fire is front and center with smoke bombs at the start 🎇, candles and torches to guide you through the night 🕯️. Since we don’t hide anything, we’ll be blunt: around the lake, it’s for the living, a touch of hell at Lake Annecy 🎶. It’s a true physical and technical challenge! But you won’t be alone—the supporters will be there to cheer you on 👏.

After burning the calories 🥵, it’s time to light up the table 🔥. Annecy is known for its many traditional restaurants with, obviously, cheese specialties 🧀: tartiflette, croziflette or fondue (yep, we’re hungry!) 🤤. Be careful with the wager! Let yourself be tempted by the Gâteau de Savoie, a must-try of the local gastronomy 🥮.
