The Loudéac-Pontivy Marathon, you’ll dazzle during a road race with a taste of nature! And yes, as you might guess, traveling from one town to another becomes a famous city-to-city route as you cross Morbihan and the Côtes-d’Armor, wouldn’t you call that a department-to-department journey? 🤣

In May, you’ll have a blast at the Loudéac-Pontivy Marathon across four distances : 5 km, 10 km, 21 km or 42 km. And since we love to whet your appetite 🤤, we’re not hiding the fact that you’ll admire throughout your urban course a spectacular and soothing nature at the start of the Calouet Hippodrome 🏇🏼. But back to our sheep! After the start, you’ll loop through the town of Loudéac then run along the fields, the Nantes Canal, of locks and even the Roz ponds (and even if the water isn’t Roz 🎀, these water reserves are worth a detour). And yes, the advantage of a nature race in the city is that you get to tread both asphalt and towpaths or trails (sure to be muddy, we’ve warned you). You will also pass through several villages like Saint-Gonnery (not Sean Connery 🎥), start of the semi-marathon 📍, or Saint-Gérand, start of the 10 km 😎. You’ll finish with a final sprint after admiring the Château des Rohan 🏰, in the heart of Pontivy to finish your half-marathon like a champion!

For after the race, and if the weather is nice, explore the center of Loudéac or Pontivy ! Take a stroll in the surrounding forest home to a wonderful colony of roe deer and deer 🦌. And since the area hides small gems, try the specialties of la ferme du Ruisseau. These are desserts made with farm milk, well known to local gourmets 😋. You might even meet some sheep?
